Title :Sermon on the Mount III
(1~6절) 비판하지 말라
(Verses 1-6) Do not Judge
1. 비판을 받지 아니하려거든 비판하지 말라
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
예수님의 교훈은 참과 거짓, 선과 악에 대한 분별을
포기하라는 의미가 아니라 타인의 약점이나 실수를
너그럽게 용서하지 못하고 파괴적으로 비판하는 것을
삼가야 한다는 의미임.
The teaching of Jesus does not mean to give up
discerning truth and falsehood,
or good and evil, but rather means t
hat one should refrain from destrutively criticizing others and be
unable to generously forgive their weaknesses or mistakes.
2. 너희가 비판하는 그 비판으로 너희가 비판을 받을 것이요
너희가 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희가 헤아림을 받을 것이니라
For in the same way you judge others,
you will be judged, and with the measure you use,
it will be measured to you.
3. 어찌하여 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보고
네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 깨닫지 못하느냐
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust
in your brother's eye and pay no attention
to the plank in your own eye?
4. 보라 네 눈 속에 들보가 있는데 어찌하여
형제에게 말하기를 나로 네 눈 속에 있는 티를
빼게 하라 하겠느냐
How can you say to your brother,
'Let me take the speck out of your eye, '
when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
5. 외식하는 자여 먼저 네 눈 속에서 들보를 빼어라.
그 후에야 밝히 보고 형제의 눈 속에서 티를 빼리라
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye,
and then you will see clearly to remove the speck
from your brother's eye.
말씀해설 3~5 절 ;여기에서 예수님은 정당한 비판,
즉 잘못을 고쳐주는 그 자체를 비난하시는 것이 아님.
오히려 적극적으로 형제를 도우려고 애써야 한다고 하심(5절).
이러한 목적이 아닌 비판은 죄라는 것임
Commentary on verses 3-5;
Here, Jesus is not criticizing legitimate criticism,
that is, the act of correcting wrongdoing itself.
Rather, He says that we should actively strive to help our brothers (verse5).
Criticism that does not have this purpose is a sin.
6. 거룩한 것을 개에게 주지 말며 너희 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말라
그들이 그것을 발로 밟고 돌이켜 너희를 찢어 상하게 할까 염려하라
"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs.
If you do, they may trample them under their feet,
and then turn and tear you to pieces.
①거룩한 것 ⇒ 하나님께 제물로 바쳐졌던 음식을 가리키는 것으로 추측.
여기서는 진주와 함께 복음, 진리, 구원 등을 상징함.
②개, 돼지 ⇒ 하나님을 고의적으로 완강하게 대적하는 사람,
복음을 도전적으로 짓밟는 사람 등을 상징함
1.Holy thing --->
Presumed to refer to food that was offered as a sacrifice to god.
Here, along with pearls, it symbolizes the gospel, truth, salvation, etc.
2. Dogs, pigs ---> Symbolize people who deliberately and stubbornly oppose God,
those who defiantly trample on the gospel, etc.
(7~12절) 기도에 대한 약속
(Verse 7-12) Promises regarding prayer.
7. 구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요
찾으라 그리하면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라
그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니
"Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find; knock
and the door will be opened to you.
8. 구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이는 찾아낼 것이요
두드리는 이에게는 열릴 것이니라
For everyone who asks receives;
he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks,
the door will be opened.
9. 너희 중에 누가 아들이 떡을 달라
하는데 돌을 주며
"Which of you, if his son asks for bread,
will give him a stone?
10. 생선을 달라 하는데
뱀을 줄 사람이 있겠느냐
Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
11. 너희가 악한 자라도 좋은 것으로
자식에게 줄 줄 알거든 하물며 하늘에 계신
너희 아버지께서 구하는 자에게 좋은 것으로
주시지 않겠느냐
If you, then, though you are evil,
know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your Father in heaven
give good gifts to those who ask him!
말씀해설 7~11 절 :기도는 신자가 하나님과
교제를 나눌 수 있는 가장 중요한 통로임.
특히 여기서 예수님은 신자가 하나님의 풍성한 은혜를
받을 수 있는 통로로 기도를 7중으로 강조하시고 있음.
12. 그러므로 무엇이든지 남에게 대접을 받고자 하는 대로
너희도 남을 대접하라 이것이 율법이요 선지자니라
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you,
for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
이 구절을 보통 황금률이라고 부름.
예수님은 율법과 선지자들의 가르침의 핵심은 사랑이라고 하셨음.
그런데 다른 사람이 자신에게 행동해 주기를 바라는 대로
또한 자기도 그렇게 다른 사람에게 행동한다면
이는 사랑을 실천한 것이기 때문임.
This passage is commonly called the Golden Rule.
Jesus said that the core of the teachings of the law and the prophets is love.
If one acts toward others as one wishes others to act toward oneself, i
t is because one has practiced love.
(13~29절) 하늘나라 생활의 증거
(Verses 13-29) Evidence of life in the Kingdoom of Heaven
13. 좁은 문으로 들어가라 멸망으로 인도하는 문은 크고
그 길이 넓어 그리로 들어가는 자가 많고
"Enter through the narrow gate.
For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14. 생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 길이 협착하여
찾는 자가 적음이라
But small is the gate and narrow the road
that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15. 거짓 선지자들을 삼가라 양의 옷을 입고
너희에게 나아오나 속에는 노략질하는 이리라
"Watch out for false prophets.
They come to you in sheep's clothing,
but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
16. 그들의 열매로 그들을 알지니 가시나무에서 포도를,
또는 엉겅퀴에서 무화과를 따겠느냐
By their fruit you will recognize them.
Do people pick grapes from thornbushes,
or figs from thistles?
17. 이와 같이 좋은 나무마다 아름다운 열매를 맺고
못된 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺나니
Likewise every good tree bears good fruit,
but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18. 좋은 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺을 수 없고
못된 나무가 아름다운 열매를 맺을 수 없느니라
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,
and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19. 아름다운 열매를 맺지 아니하는 나무마다
찍혀 불에 던져지느니라
Every tree that does not bear good fruit
is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20. 이러므로 그들의 열매로 그들을 알리라
Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
말씀해설 15~20 절:하나님의 말씀과는 어긋난 교훈과
도덕적으로 불건전한 생활이나 행위 등으로
거짓 선지자들을 분별할 수 있음.
Commentary on verses 15-20:
Falso prophets can be discerned by teachings
that ontradict God's word and by morrlly
unhealthy lifestyles or actions.
21. 나더러 주여 주여 하는 자마다 다 천국에 들어갈 것이 아니요
다만 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻대로 행하는 자라야 들어가리라
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord, ' will enter
the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will
of my Father who is in heaven.
22. 그날에 많은 사람이 나더러 이르되 주여 주여
우리가 주의 이름으로 선지자 노릇 하며 주의 이름으로
귀신을 쫓아내며 주의 이름으로 많은 권능을 행하지
아니하였나이까 하리니
Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord,
did we not prophesy in your name,
and in your name drive out demons
and perform many miracles?'
23. 그때에 내가 그들에게 밝히 말하되
내가 너희를 도무지 알지 못하니
불법을 행하는 자 들아 내게서 떠나가라 하리라
Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you.
Away from me, you evildoers!'
24. 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는
그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine
and puts them into practice is like a wise man
who built his house on the rock.
25. 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어
그 집에 부딪치되 무너지지 아니하나니
이는 주추를 반석 위에 놓은 까닭이요
The rain came down, the streams rose,
and the winds blew and beat against that house;
yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation
on the rock.
26. 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하지 아니하는 자는
그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람 같으리니
But everyone who hears these words of mine
and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man
who built his house on sand.
27. 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어
그 집에 부딪치매 무너져 그 무너짐이 심하니라
The rain came down, the streams rose,
and the winds blew and beat against that house,
and it fell with a great crash."
말씀해설 24~27 절 :산상 보훈의 결론부에 해당됨.
예수님은 그분의 말씀을 듣고 행하는 자와 행치 아니하는 자를
지혜로운 자와 어리석은 자로 구별하시고, 그들이 삶의 위기와
궁극적으로는 심판의 때에 맞게 될 결과를 강조하심으로써
말씀에 순종하여 행할 것을 요구하시고 있음.
Exposition of Verses 24-27:
These correspond to the concludion of the Sermon on the Mount.
Jesus distinguishes between those who hear His words
and act on them and those who do not,
identifying them as wise and foolish,
and by emphasizing the outcomes they will face in life's crises
and ultimately at the time of judgment,
He calls for obedience to His words.
28. 예수께서 이 말씀을 마치시매 무리들이
그의 가르치심에 놀라니
When Jesus had finished saying these things,
the crowds were amazed at his teaching,
29. 이는 그 가르치시는 것이 권위 있는 자와 같고
그들의 서기관들과 같지 아니함 일러라
because he taught as one who had authority,
and not as their teachers of the law.
서기관 ⇒ 전문적으로 모세의 율법을 보존, 필사, 해석하고
그것을 백성들에게 가르쳤던 교사들을 말함.
그들은 산헤드린의 구성원이 되어 정치적 권력도 행사하였음.
율법사 또는 랍비로도 불렸음.
Secretary---> Refers to teachers who professionally preserved,
copied, and interpreted the Mosaic Law and taught it to the people.
They were members of the Sanhedrin and also exercised political power.
They were also called law scholars or rabbis.

Thank You for allowing us to meet Friday with Your Word today.
I pray that You make my day full of grace and walk with me..
오늘은 마태복음 7장으로 묵상합니다
Today, I meditate on Matthew Chapter 7.
예수님의 교훈은 참과 거짓,
선과 악에 대한 분별을 포기하기보다는
타인의 약점이나 실수를 너그럽게
용서하지 못하고 파괴적으로
비판하는 것을 삼가야 한다는 것을
가르쳐 주시는 것임을 알게 하소서
Le me understand that the teachings of Jesus are not
about giving up discernment bewteen true and false,
good and evil.
But about refraining from destructively criticizing others
without forgiving their weaknessess or mistakes.
정당한 비판 즉 잘못을 고쳐주는 그 자체보다는
오히려 적극적으로 형제를 도우려고
애써야 한다고 하시면서
이러한 목적이 아닌 비판은 죄라는
것을 가르쳐 주심을 알게 하소서
Let me realize that it teaches us to endeavor to
actively help our brothers rather than focusing on correcting their faults,
and that criticism made without this purpose is a sin.
기도는 신자가 하나님과 교제를 나눌 수 있는
가장 중요한 통로임을 알게 하소서
Help me understand that prayer is the most important channel
through which believers can communicate with god.
특히 여기서 예수님은 신자가
하나님의 풍성한 은혜를
받을 수 있는 통로로
기도를 가장 강조하심을 배우게 하소서
Especially, let me learn that Jesus emphasizes prayer
as the channel through
which believers can receive God's abundant grace.
예수님은 율법과 선지자들의 가르침의
핵심은 사랑이라고 하셨고
다른 사람이 자신에게 행동해 주기를 바라는 대로
자기도 그렇게 다른 사람에게 행동한다면
이는 사랑의 실천임을 알게 하소서
Jesus said that the essence of the Law
and the teachings of the prophets is love,
and let me understand that if I act toward others
as I wish them to act toward me,
it is the practice of love.
예수님의 말씀을 듣고 행하는 자와
행치 아니하는 자를
지혜로운 자와 어리석은 자로 구별하시고
그들이 삶의 위기와 궁극적으로는
심판의 때에 맞게 될 결과를 강조하심으로써
말씀에 순종하여 행할 것을 요구하시고 있음을
배우게 하소서
Let me learn that Jesus distinguishes between those who listen to His words
and act, and those who do not as wise and foolish,
and by emphasizing the consequences they will face in life's crises
and ultimately at the time of judgement.
하나님의 말씀과 다른 교훈과
도덕적으로 불건전한 생활
행위 등으로 거짓 선지자들을 분별할 수
있음을 배우게 하소서
Let us learn that we can discern false prophets
through teachings that differ from God's Word
and morally unhealthy lifestyle actions
" 좁은 문으로 들어가라. 멸망으로 인도하는 문은 크고
그 길이 넓어 그리로 들어가는 자가 많고,
생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 길이 협착하여
찾는 자가 적음이라 (마 7:13-14)
"Enter through the narrow gate.
For the gate that leads to destruction is wide,
and the way is broad, and many enter through it;
but the gate that leads to life is narrow,
and the way is hard, and few find it ) Matt 7:13-14).
세상적 목표 달성에도 인내와 노력이 요구되지만
영적 목표 달성의 길에는
더 큰 인내와 노력이 필요함을
알게 하시고
우리 앞에 두 개의 문
두 개의 길이 있어..
하나님 생명에 이르는 문이고
다른 하나는 멸망에 이르는 문임을
알게 하소서
Although patience and effort are required to achieve wordly goals,
let us understand that the path to achieving spiritual goals requires
even greater patience and effort,
and let us realize that before us there are two doors,
two paths; one that leads to God's life,
and the other leads to destruction.
어느 길을 선택하느냐는
우리에게 달려 있습니다.
한번 선택한 길에는 반드시
책임과 의무가 수반됩니다
아담과 하와는
이 선택의 기로에서
하나님께서 금하신 선악과를 따먹음으로
인류에게 원죄라는 멍에를 씌웠으나
그리스도는 하나님께서 주신
십자가를 선택하심으로
그 멍에룰 벗겨 주셨음을 알게 하소서
Which path we choose depends on us.
Once we choose a path,
it inevitably comes with responsibility and duty.
Adam and Eve, at this crossroads of choice,
brought the burden of original sin upon humanity
by eating the forbidden fruit that God had prohibited.
But let us understand that Christ,
by choosing the cross given by God,
removed that burden.
좁은 문.. 좁은 길을 택하고
생명의 길. 영생의 길임을
알게 하소서.
그리스도의 보배로운 피가
있는 문이요 이 길은 진리의 길임을 일게 하소서
이 문 앞에서 주저하거나 머뭇거려서는
안된다는 것을 배우게 하소서.
Narrow door..
Choosing the narrow path.
Let us understand that it is the path of life,
the path of eternal life.
Let us realize that this door,
through the precious blood of Christ,
and this path, is the path of truth.
Let us learn that we must not hesitate
or falter before this door.
이문으로 들어가려는 사람은 많지 않지만
염려와 근심의 짐
죄의 짐, 쾌락과 욕망의 짐
욕심 꾸러미
모두 내려놓지 않으면 들어갈 수 없기 때문임을 압니다.
There are not many people who try to enter this gate,
but I know that one cannot enter without putting down t
he burdens of worries and anxieties,
the burdens of sin, the burdens of pleasure and desire,
and the tangle of greed.
이 길은 좁은 길이기에 항상
긴장하고 근심해야 함을 알게 하소서
그럼에도 우리는
생명의 문 영생의 길을 향한
분명한 목표를 세우고 힘겹더라도 그 길을
걸어가야 함을 알게 하소서.
This path is narrow, s
o let us realize that we must always
be vigilant and concerned.
Nevertheless, let us realize that we must set a clear goal
toward the gate of life,
the path of eternal life,
and walk that path even if it is difficult.
나를 매일 이기는 삶을 살게 하소서
"구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요
찾으라 그리하면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라
그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니 "
"구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이는 찾아낼 것이요
두드리는 이에게는 열릴 것이니라 "
라는 말씀을 기억하게 하소서.
Let me live a life that overcomes myself every day.
'Ask, and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find, and it will be oened go you'
Let us remember the words; '
for everyone who asks will receive, and the one
who seeks will find, and to the one
who knocks it will be opened."
오늘이 정말로 영준이의 마지막 Trial 날입니다.
마음 편하게 임하는 영준이 되게 하소서
힘쓰고 익힌 모든 것들을 맘껏 펼쳐서
유종의 미를 거둘 수 있는 영준이가 되게 하시고

Be with us in the world situation and the domestic situation.
Heal those who are sick by comforting them,
and grant peace to the hearts of those in pain.
We believe that You will bless all of God's children.
오늘도 내려놓는 저의 기도에
하나님이 일일이 답하여 주소서.
저를 위해 어루만져 위로하소서.

저의 모든 기도에 응답하여 주시기를 기도하며
이 모든 말씀 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로
기도드립니다.
