수업을 마치고 나오며 콜롬비아 아줌마에게 Hasta Manana!라고 했더니
자기는 더 이상 학교에 나오지 않을 거란다.
무슨 일인지 물었더니 월요일부터 College Boreal로 학교를 옮긴단다.
자기는 speaking 능력향상이 필요한데
거기가면 다른 esl 학교에 비해 speaking을 배우기가 좋다는 얘기를 들었기 때문이란다.
내가 가장 필요한 것이 speaking이니 귀가 번쩍 뜨일 수밖에.
그래서 찾아봤지.
linc와 esl 수업의 차이가 뭔지 모르겠는데
이 학교 esl 프로그램에 대해 좀 더 자세히 알아볼 참이다.
진짜 소문대로 speaking 실력키우기에 좋다면
나역시 당장 이 학교로 옮겨갈테고...
Collège Boréal
The London campus of Collège Boréal provides education in French for Anglophones as well as English education to Francophones. Programs include language training, continuing education, corporate training and computer courses.
The Collège Boréal also offers basic skills training to prepare students for college. Program length depends on the student's experience, goals and learning rate. Full and part-time courses are available.
Apprenticeship programs give students practical work experience. Students divide their time between the classroom and the workplace.
Students from around the world can take courses online through Collège Boréal's virtual campus. Programs include Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC), French as a Second Language (FSL), and English as a Second Language (ESL), leadership and business management skills and finance basics.
Employment Support Services are offered through Human Resources Skills Development Canada. This program provides counselling services and skills development for unemployed or under-employed workers. Clients have access to computers, newspapers, information on the labour market, photocopying and fax services.
